Returns & claims policy
This policy explains what qualifies as a claim, what evidence we need, and how a valid claim is resolved. It forms part of our terms of service.
Last updated: 5 November 2026 · Version 2.0
1. Scope
This policy applies to products supplied by Made in China Peptide. It covers damage in transit, shortage, and material that does not conform to the agreed specification or batch COA. It does not cover a change of mind, incorrect ordering by the buyer, or products that have been opened, reconstituted or improperly stored.
2. Claim window
- Damage or shortage: notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery.
- Non-conformance: notify us within 14 calendar days of delivery, or within 7 days of your incoming test result, whichever is later.
- Latent defect: notify us as soon as it is reasonably discovered, and in any event within 30 days of delivery.
Claims received after these windows may be declined where the material's condition can no longer be verified. If you need more time for an incoming test, tell us before the window closes and we will record an open claim.
3. What counts as non-conforming
- The product identity does not match the COA or the ordered specification.
- Purity or another tested attribute is outside the agreed acceptance criterion, using a validated method.
- The fill or net content is materially below the declared value.
- The vial, seal or label is defective, or the batch number does not match the documents.
- The product was damaged in transit because the packaging was inadequate for the route.
A result that differs because of a different analytical method, a different sample preparation, or a different acceptance criterion is a discussion about method, not automatically a non-conformance. We will compare methods with you before deciding.
4. Evidence we need
To assess a claim, please provide:
- Order or invoice reference and the batch number.
- Photographs of the outer packaging, the vial and the label before unpacking where possible.
- The COA received with the shipment.
- Your test result, method and raw data if the claim is analytical.
- A description of storage and handling since receipt.
- The quantity affected and whether the material has been opened or reconstituted.
We may ask for a retention sample or for the affected vial to be returned for examination. Please do not discard the material until the claim is closed.
5. Return authorisation
Do not return goods without a written return authorisation (RMA) and return address. Unauthorised returns may be refused or lost in transit. We will issue an RMA with instructions once the claim has been reviewed. Return shipping is at our cost where the claim is valid; otherwise it is at the buyer's cost.
6. Remedies
For a valid claim, we will choose one of the following, in consultation with the buyer:
- Replacement: a new lot or a replacement unit, with its own batch COA.
- Credit: a credit note for the affected value, usable against a future order.
- Refund: a refund of the affected value, paid by the original payment method where possible.
Where only part of a shipment is affected, the remedy applies to the affected part. Remedies do not extend to indirect or consequential loss, which is limited under the terms of service.
7. Exclusions
- Products that have been opened, reconstituted, diluted or transferred to another container.
- Products stored outside the conditions on the COA or safety data sheet.
- Custom-labelled or custom-synthesised products, unless the non-conformance is ours.
- Claims based on a method or acceptance criterion different from the agreed specification, where the product meets the agreed specification.
- Damage caused after delivery, or by the buyer's carrier where the buyer arranged freight.
- Change of mind, over-ordering or incorrect product selection.
8. Damaged in transit
If the outer packaging is visibly damaged, photograph it before opening and, where possible, note the damage with the carrier at delivery. Keep the packaging, the vial and the documents. We will open a carrier claim where the shipment was arranged by us; where the buyer arranged freight, the buyer should file the carrier claim and we will provide the documents needed.
9. Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of the remedy being agreed, using the original payment route where possible. Bank charges and currency differences are not refunded. A credit note is issued within 5 business days.
10. Compliance and safety
Returned material must be packaged and labelled in accordance with transport rules. The buyer must not return material that has been contaminated or mixed with other substances. We may decline a return that presents a safety risk to carriers or staff.
11. Contact
Claims: [email protected] with the subject "Claim — [order reference]". Include the batch number and the evidence listed above. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to conclude the assessment within ten business days of receiving the complete evidence.
