Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
Last updated: 5 November 2026 · Version 2.0
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the Made in China Peptide operating entity identified on your quotation or invoice. For privacy questions, contact [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We aim to acknowledge within two business days.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, business email, phone/WhatsApp, company, role | You, when you enquire or order |
| Order details | Products, quantities, destination, documentation requests, delivery instructions | You |
| Commercial records | Quotations, invoices, payment references, shipping documents | You and our processors |
| Correspondence | Emails, messages and attachments you send us | You |
| Technical logs | IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — as generated by our hosting and security provider | Automatically, when you visit |
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health data). Please do not send medical information, prescriptions or personal health details in an enquiry; we do not need them and may delete them.
3. Why we use it, and our legal bases
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations — legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To fulfil orders, ship goods and provide after-sales support — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep commercial, tax and shipping records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- To prevent fraud, misuse and unlawful orders; to protect our systems — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To send relevant updates about a product or order — legitimate interests or consent where required; you can opt out at any time.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those interests against your rights and keep the data used to the minimum needed.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use advertising, profiling or analytics cookies. Our hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies or similar tokens to protect the site and route requests. These are not used to build a profile of you. For details, see the cookie policy.
5. Who we share data with
We share only what is necessary with:
- Hosting and security providers — to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
- Carriers and freight forwarders — name, address, phone and shipment details, to deliver an order.
- Payment and banking providers — to process or verify payment.
- Professional advisers — accountants, lawyers and auditors, under confidentiality.
- Authorities — where required by law, court order or a lawful request, or to investigate suspected misuse.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. International transfers
Our suppliers, carriers and service providers may be located in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards — for example, standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority, or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism — and limit the data to what the recipient needs.
7. How long we keep data
| Record | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become orders | Up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised |
| Quotations and order correspondence | Up to 6 years after the last transaction, for commercial and tax records |
| Invoices and shipping documents | As required by applicable tax and customs law (typically 6–10 years) |
| Compliance and claims records | Up to 6 years after resolution, or longer if a legal hold applies |
| Technical logs | Short retention at the hosting/security provider, typically days to weeks |
8. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), least-privilege access and reputable hosting and payment providers. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data and poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request" and enough information to identify your records. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (normally one month) and may ask for proof of identity to protect your data.
10. California and similar rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise a right, use the privacy contact above; we will not discriminate against you for exercising it.
11. Children
Our products are sold only to business buyers aged 21 or over. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
This site may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own; we are not responsible for their content or data handling. Review their policies before providing personal data.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
